sukabumiNews, BATURAJA – Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan RI) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, accompanied by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander Agus Subiyanto and the Chief of Staff, directly inspected the Super Garuda Shield (SGS) 2025 Joint Exercise at the Kodiklatad Combat Training Center in Baturaja, South Sumatra, on Wednesday (September 3, 2025).
Indonesia hosted this
exercise as a demonstration of its active role in global defense diplomacy and
its commitment to enhancing military cooperation with friendly nations.
SGS 2025 is the
largest multinational exercise in the Indo-Pacific region, involving soldiers
from 17 countries. This exercise enhances interoperability and troop readiness
to face future security challenges, encompassing land, sea, air, and cyber
operations.
During the visit, the
Minister of Defense witnessed the Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise (CALFEX),
which emphasized the professionalism and interoperability of troops across the
military services.

Armed Forces and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, personally
observed the Super Garuda Shield (SGS) 2025 Joint Multinational Exercise at the
Army Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command (Kodiklatad) Combat
Training Centre, Baturaja, on Wednesday (3 September).
Indonesia’s role as
the host nation reaffirms its firm commitment to global defence diplomacy and
determination to further strengthen military cooperation with partner
countries.
