sukabumiNews.net, KAB SUKABUMI – Sukabumi Regent, H Asep Japar, officially opened the Conference of the Republic of Indonesia Teachers Association (PGRI) of Sukabumi Regency, Saturday (5/7/2025).
The conference was
held at a hotel on Jalan Selabintana, Sukabumi District/Regency, attended by
the Chairperson of the West Java PGRI, H. Akhmad Juhana, administrators and
members of PGRI throughout Sukabumi Regency.
In addition to being
a forum for friendship, the conference which carried the theme "Advanced
Teachers, Advanced Indonesia, Strong Teachers, Strong Indonesia", was also
an important momentum for the Sukabumi Regency PGRI to evaluate the
organization's performance over the past five years, prepare future work
programs, and elect new management for the next period.
In his remarks,
Regent Asep Japar emphasized the strategic role of teachers in national
development. According to him, teachers are not only tasked with teaching, but
also forming character, instilling national values, and becoming agents of
change in society.
"In the current
era of digitalization and global transformation, teachers must be able to adapt
to technology, continue to innovate in learning, and instill a spirit of
nationalism and ethics in students," he said.
The Regent also
invited all teachers in Sukabumi Regency to continue to improve their quality
and professionalism.
"Let's prove
that quality teachers are the pillars of the nation's progress. Great teachers
are the guardians of the country's strength," he said.
Chairman of the West Java PGRI Emphasizes the Importance of Maintaining Organizational Solidarity and Professionalism
Meanwhile, the
Chairman of the West Java PGRI, H. Akhmad Juhana, in his remarks emphasized the
importance of maintaining organizational solidity and professionalism. He hopes
that the elected administrators can build member loyalty, increase the
credibility of the organization, and strengthen synergy with the local
government.
"Sportsmanship
must be maintained, avoid all forms of post-conference conflict. Let's make PGRI
a comfortable and productive big house for all teachers," he said.
Meanwhile, the
Chairman of the Sukabumi Regency PGRI for the 2020–2025 period, H. Tubagus
Wahid Anshor, explained that this conference had three main agendas, namely the
submission of accountability reports, discussion of the five-year work program,
and the election of new administrators.
He also expressed his
appreciation for the support of the local government who were present in person
at this activity.
"The presence of
the Regent and the Chairman of the Sukabumi Regency DPRD is a motivation for us
to continue to excel and dedicate ourselves to the advancement of education in
Sukabumi Regency," he said.
H. Tubagus hopes that
this conference can produce new leadership that is ready to bring positive
changes to the world of education.
"I hope that the
new leadership is able to protect, improve the quality of education, and bring
new enthusiasm in facing various challenges in the future," he said.
