sukabumiNews.net, SUKABUMI REGENCY – The National Food Agency (Bapanas), in collaboration with the Indonesian Farmers Association (Pertani HKTI) Women's Association (Pertani HKTI) of the West Java Regional Leadership Council (Jabar), held the Low-Cost Food Movement (GPM).
The event took place in the Ryzzy Azzahra Parking Lot,
in front of the Karawang Village Meeting Hall/Futsal Field, Sukabumi
District/Regency, on Wednesday (August 13, 2025).
The event was attended by a representative from
Bapanas, Mrs. Mumun, accompanied by Mrs. Sumi. Also in attendance were the
Chairperson of the HKTI Farmers Association of West Java, Hj. Resna Oktaviana,
and the Village Head of Karawang, Iwan Kusmawan Gardika, who served as the
local organizing committee.
Mumun, a representative from the National Farmers
Association (Bapanas), stated that this activity was organized in collaboration
with the HKTI Women Farmers Association of West Java (DPD), and the National
Logistics Agency (Bulog).
"This activity is being held simultaneously
throughout Indonesia, with the hope of helping control inflation, maintaining
food prices, and providing concrete solutions for the provision and
distribution of affordable food," Mumun told SukabumiNews at the event
location on Wednesday (August 13).
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the HKTI Women Farmers' Association (DPD) of West Java, Hj. Resna Oktaviana, stated that this activity aims to support food security, particularly in West Java.
"In this regard, the HKTI West Java Farmers
Association (Pertanian HKTI) has a flagship program, namely upgrading
vegetables," said Hj. Resna.
"This activity is part of the National Farmers'
Association (Bapannas) and HKTI West Java Farmers' Association (Pertanian HKTI)
strategy to assist the community in maintaining stable food commodity supplies
and prices," she explained.
"And women farmers must be empowered to support
this food security," she added.
According to sukabumiNews, the Affordable Food
Movement (GPM) Bazaar featured various commodities, including SPHP and Medium
Rice, Chicken Eggs, Red and Curly Chilies, Flour, Red and White Onions, Kita
Oil, Broiler Chicken, and Granulated Sugar, all at below-market prices.
In addition to the Affordable Food Bazaar, various
activities were also held during the event, including group exercise, free
health checks, and blood donation drives.
