sukabumiNews.net, BANYUMAS – The Banyumas Class II B Detention
Center, Central Java, was filled with red and white colors and a lively
atmosphere on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of
Indonesian Independence Day. A simple stage stood in the center of the arena,
ready to serve as the center of entertainment for the inmates.
According to RRI,
the inmates had been preparing from the start, some bringing notes of the songs
they wanted to perform. Cheers of support and applause could be heard even
before the karaoke competition began.
The competition was
opened by the Detention Center's structural officials, including the Head of
the Management Subsection and the Head of the Detention Services Subsection.
Also in attendance were the Head of the Detention Center Security Unit, civil
servant candidates (CPNS), and all inmates who filled the area.
The Head of the
Detention Center Services Subsection, Cakra Citra Sari, encouraged participants
to view the competition as a platform for togetherness and brotherhood.
"This activity provides a platform for talent and a means to foster a love
of the homeland," she said when met after the opening of the competition
on Tuesday (August 12, 2025).
Interestingly, the Subsection Heads also enlivened the
stage with enthusiastic renditions of national patriotic songs. Their
performance was warmly received by the inmates, who cheered and applauded
loudly.
The Head of Banyumas Detention Center, Anggi Febiakto,
viewed arts competitions such as karaoke as an effective way to support the
development of inmates. "This activity strengthens interpersonal
relationships and fosters sportsmanship among all participants," he said
in an interview during the event.
The competition ran smoothly until the afternoon,
featuring performances ranging from patriotic songs to nostalgic songs. Each
performance elicited a wave of applause and enthusiastic cheers from the
audience.
The winners will be announced at the culmination of
the 80th Indonesian Independence Day celebrations at Banyumas Detention Center.
The event will also feature artistic performances and prize distribution.
With its spirited atmosphere, the karaoke competition
left a positive impression on all participants and spectators. This activity
also fostered a sense of nationalism within the Banyumas Detention Center.
