sukabumiNews.net, BANDUNG – Persib Bandung had to accept a minor result in the first match of the 2025 President's Cup because they lost to Port FC 0-2, at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang, Bandung Regency, Sunday (6/7/2025) afternoon. The opponent's two goals were scored by Bordin Phala in the 45+4 minute and Peeradol Chamrasamee's penalty kick in the 67th minute.
Despite the defeat,
Persib coach Bojan Hodak admitted that he was quite satisfied with the
performance of Marc Klok and his friends, especially in the first half.
According to him, in the midst of relatively short preparations, all the
players continued to work hard and tried to bring out their best abilities in
this match.
"I am happy with
the way we played in the first half, in the second half there were many young
players and in the end this is an experience, this is an experience of how we
conceded the first and second goals," said Hodak, after the match.
Not only that, the
Croatian coach was also happy because many young players could appear in this
match. According to Bojan Hodak, this is very good for increasing
self-confidence and increasing the level of his game.
"This is good
for us, having young players who if there are injured players, we don't need to
worry," said the tactician who was born in Zagreb, Croatia, May 4, 1971.
In the 2nd match of
Group B of the 2025 President's Cup, Persib Bandung will face Dewa United. The
same opponent will also be faced by Port FC in the last match. Although
Pangeran Biru is in the lower position, they can still qualify for the final if
they win with a big score against Dewa United, while Port FC lost in the final
match.
