sukabumiNews.net, KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Prime Minister (PM), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, expressed his prayers and appreciation to Mahathir Mohamad, who is 100 years old today. He prayed for his welfare, health and peace.
Anwar conveyed these remarks via uploads on social
media. Anwar also expressed his hope that the former prime minister would
always be blessed with physical strength and inner calm in living a meaningful
life.
"Azizah and I sincerely pray that Tun will
continue to be blessed with prosperity, peace of mind and physical strength to
live a meaningful life," said Anwar.
"A healthy lifestyle and unwavering charity are
an example for a nation that is aging but still holds high hopes," he
continued.
He also prayed that God would continue to bless Dr.
Mahathir, who has led the country for more than two decades across two
different administrations.
Dr. Mahathir is the most influential political figure
in Malaysia's modern history, having served as the country's fourth and seventh
Prime Minister.
The speech received mixed reactions from social media
users, who generally congratulated and expressed respect for Dr. Mahathir's
contributions to national development.
