sukabumiNews.net, KUALA LUMPUR – The issue of bullying in public and private universities (IPTA) and IPTS, as well as the implementation of the MADANI Mercy Sales Program (PJRM), was one of the main topics discussed in today's Dewan Rakyat session.
According to the
meeting agenda posted on the Dewan Rakyat's official website, Alor Setar
Regional Legislative Council Member Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden submitted questions
to the Minister of Higher Education regarding steps taken to address bullying
among IPTA and IPTS students.
Meanwhile, the
Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, is
scheduled to answer questions regarding new strategies and initiatives to
ensure that the RM600 million allocated for the MADANI Mercy Sales Program
truly reaches its target groups.
During the question
and answer session, Kluang Regional Council Member Wong Shu Qi also requested
clarification regarding the actual number of people targeted as direct
beneficiaries of the program.
The establishment of
the Malaysian Ombudsman was also raised during today's session.
Bangi Member of
Parliament Syahredzan Johan asked the Prime Minister to announce the
government's decision after a comprehensive stakeholder engagement session, as
well as the next steps planned to expedite its implementation.
Following the
question and answer session, the Dewan Rakyat session will continue with debate
on the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), which was proposed by Prime Minister Datuk
Seri Anwar Ibrahim on July 31.
According to the
Dewan Rakyat calendar, the 13th RMK debate session will last eight days, from
August 4 to 14, followed by a four-day closing session from August 18 to 21.
This year's Dewan
Rakyat session is scheduled to last 24 days, ending August 28. (BERNAMA)
